Hearts and Bones

“Si pots aconseguir que Paul Simon escrigui una cançó sobre tu, fes-ho: és boníssim”. És un consell de l’actriu Carrie Fisher (21 d’octubre del 1956-27 de desembre del 2016), que va ser parella de Paul Simon del 1977 al 1984. Hearts and Bones, del 1983, és una de les cançons que el músic li va dedicar. Tracta sobre les dificultats de conciliar l’amor ideal i l’amor d’estar per casa. El més curiós és que va ser escrita abans que la parella es casés el 1983 i es divorciés el 1984, de manera que sembla que anticipi el que va acabar passant. Un cop divorciats, Simon i Fisher van tornar a ser parella durant un temps.
